Todd doesn’t hold back in calling for a alter both outside and inside the gay community. He calls out hook-up apps such as Grindr, the 'mean girls' persona that so many gay men adopt, and the same-sex attracted press itself… Straight Jacket isn’t just a self-help book. It’s a resource for anyone with an interest in knowing what needs to change to bring about real equality For that, Matthew Todd has another reason to be proud.

The manual everyone is talking about… This is probably the most important thing I’ll ever read as a gay man. Full of profundity and fearless honesty.

I recommend it to everyone I meet. I've bought 15 copies to give to people. In my opinion it should be on every teacher's reading list. Whoever you are - especially if you are straight - go and buy it now. It could facilitate change your
The big issue: When gay doesn’t mean happy
Therapy Today, JuneThere is a generation of gay men still alive today who were criminalised and imprisoned. Being lgbtq+ is still illegal in 70 countries and subject to the death penalty in around 11, and thousands of gay people still come to London from across the world for sanctuary. Even in the UK, it’s only in the past 20 years that legal inequalities own begun to significantly improve. And while we can obliterate laws, the shame and trauma inflicted on people over generations are not so easy to erase. Although fresh people today are growing up in a very unlike world to that experienced by previous generations, it is still hard to be different.
The root cause of these problems is trauma caused by shame. Many of us learn very first on that not conforming to gender expectations, let alone expressing our sexuality, is met with negativity, shame and sometimes even abuse, from families, friends and wider culture. For instance, I loved musicals and hated football – something that should not be a big deal but that attracted de
5 Books Gay Men Can Examine to Improve Their Lives
Would the small gay boy you once were look up to the gay man you’ve become?
This is the question Dr. Joe Kort explores in 10 Smart Things Gay Men Can Do to Improve Their Lives as he guides readers through the complex journey of becoming a fully self-actualized gay man.
In his manual, Kort covers:
➡️ Mistakes gay men make when seeking a relationship
➡️ Understanding how to deal with loved ones who disapprove of your being gay.
➡️ How to overcome damaging patterns that are holding you back from enjoying a healthy sex life.
➡️ How to identify your own internalized homophobia.
After coming out, gay men will typically feel better at first, but often the nice feelings fade. This is because “coming out” is only a part of the beginning of the journey. This book provides a map for navigating the whole long passage of becoming the gay man you desire to be.

Gay But Not Happy
June 17,Despite the title and a few pre-Stonewall missteps in the narrative, I thought this book was quite good and joyful, it reminded me of something from Robert Rodi.
In the book a juvenile man named Rodney Manlove (seriously?) works in a car dealership occasionally servicing his older, fatter, Jewish (this is emphasized) homosexual boss. But the boss is basically a kind guy. Rodney's direct manager however is a heavy Canadian who wears glasses (this is emphasized) and is also a bitchy jealous queen who wants him fired.
When a new 19 year old stud in lemon colour jeans walks in and tries to take Rodney for a ride at the same time as his manager is trying to get him fired the situation looks dim but Rodney and his friends find a way to turn the table and save the day.
I mind this book had a lot going for it, despite the title and two 50 year antique men cruising each other on the cover. Why did the artist form them so old? In the book they're in their 20's. The publication talks about specific places in LA to detect a hustler, details how to find a trick in a Greyhound bus stati
