Gay church in london
Welcome to Metropolitan Community Church of North London (MCCNL). We hope that you find a blessed spiritual experience here as adequately as a friendly and loving community of faith. Sunday Worship is at 6pm at Bloomsbury Pivotal Baptist Church
Introduction
Quite simply, MCCNL, like all MCC’s around the world, is a Christian Church with a special ministry of inclusion for minorities, especially LGBTQI people, who have been historically excluded from the life and ministry of Christian churches.
We attempt to reach out to who are perceived to be “different” from the majority and have therefore not been fully included and celebrated in many churches racial and ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, those who are HIV+, the ageing, the broke, those who are ill, and so on. We are a church for all people, welcoming all, excluding none – just as Jesus Christ did.
MCC North London began in under the pastoral care of Rev Elder Hong Tan. We moved to our current home in Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, Shaftesbury Avenue, in where we continue to receive a warm welc
Inclusion
We aim to be a church that is inclusive of all, including those who are LGBTQ+. This is our intention, though we are aware that we still have much to learn.
We recognise the importance of clarity with what we indicate by being LGBTQ+ inclusive so here’s a small more detail…
As with everyone who comes to St Mary’s you are welcome here on your hold terms and like anyone else, we’d love to encourage you to work and lead in any area of the church according to your gifts. We are blessed at St Mary’s to hold many LGBTQ+ members, both individuals and couples, who serve and lead in our Sunday services, little groups, worship band, kids and youth teams. We understand the importance of representation so we also invite LGBTQ+ guest speakers from time to time.
In terms of limitations, equal sex marriage is not yet legal in the Church of England so we regret that we are unable to act marriages or blessings for same sex couples. We also won’t necessarily endorse all aspects of wider LGBTQ+ political agendas (or other political agend

We welcome wailing babies and excited toddlers. We welcome those who sing prefer Adele and those who just growl quietly to themselves. We welcome those who are just browsing, have just woken up or have just been released from prison.
We welcome those who attend church more than the Archbishop of Canterbury and those who have not darkened the doors of a church since they were on the way place from that Christmas party ten years ago.
We welcome those who are over 60 but haven't quite grown up and to teenagers who seem to be growing up too fast. We welcome those who are in recovery or who are still addicted.
We welcome those who are having problems, down in the dumps, angry with God or who don't like 'organized religion'. We're not that struck on it either.
We welcome those who serve too hard, those who don't perform, can't work, can't spell, feel th

About this MCC church: MCCNL strives to be a passionately open, active and Spirit-led Christian faith group. Whilst founded in the LGBT community, the church is expose to everyone.
MCCNL invites you to come as you are you dont have to fake to be more or less than yourself here. We think that you will find much love, strength and life-affirming spirituality at the heart of the church.
It is a great place to be moved spiritually through a range of cutting-edge song combined with traditional liturgy in a contemporary style. We expect this makes our services suitable for those who like dynamic Spirit-filled worship within a larger group as well as those who are seeking opportunities for more reflective contemplative moments in worship.
