The following review, while not revealing too many major plot points, does enclose some decent-sized spoilers for Wilderness, specifically about the same-sex attracted goings-on.

The first shot of the Prime Video show Wilderness is a Dark Widow spider organism run over by a car driven by the show&#;s main character, a woman named Liv. It sets us up for the type of &#;be the thing the monsters have nightmares about&#; story we&#;re about to acquire. Black Widow spiders are deadly, but a woman pushed to the brink could be deadlier.

While normally I wouldn&#;t be drawn to a show that is, ostensibly, about a m/f marriage, this show caught my eye because of the cast: Clara Oswald herself, Jenna Coleman, who plays the aforementioned Liv. Oliver Jackson-Cohen, a Mike Flanagan-verse regular, plays her husband, Will. And Pretty Little homosexual icon Ashley Benson plays Cara, a coworker of Will&#;s. Plus, as an added bonus I didn&#;t know until I started watching: Liv&#;s neighbor Ash, played by Morgana Van Peebles, is a lesbian with a hopeless affection on her married best friend.

My First Cruisy Cruise

BY DAVID NOH | &#;It'll be fun!&#; the boyfriend enthused as I finally gave in to his annual plea and okayed the idea of a queer cruise. Like many of you out there, I was a tad traumatized by the florid brochures, featuring insanely leering, muscle-bound party boys hoisting Celestial, not to mention the ubiquitous inclusion of that sole Asian, as if to say, &#;Yes, we welcome aboard our 'just as hot, large money-earning' yellow brothers, as well!&#;

Hell, what did I know? It turned out to be one of the top vacations of my life. Imagine 2, queer men (and 19 women) aboard Celebrity Cruise's Infinity, sailing from Rio for Carnival to Uruguay to Buenos Aires, a closing voyage for this particular package route. We were even all famous, as this flotilla de maricons made CNN and every local newspaper, with passengers being interviewed at several stops. Crowds came out to watch us disembark.

A floating utopia; a cabaret debut; opera thrills; Gallic go-sees.

And, yes, there was much more to be had than hardcore partying to disco thump-thump 24/7.
