Pride month is approaching fast! To honour this event and to celebrate diversity in my hometown, I would love to divide this guide to queer Milan, written in collaboration with two LGBT friends.
&#;What are you doing Margherita! You&#;re not gay, why are you writing a guide to Gay Milan?&#; Before reading any further, I would like to clarify that this reference was written together with two friends of mine who belong to the LGBT community in Milan, but who would rather not be named because of fear of bullying and discrimination in their workplace.
And this is why sharing guides of LGBT-friendly places is so crucial &#; you may notice Milan as an unwrap, friendly, diverse city, but the truth is that discrimination is present more than ever, and LGBT individuals face hatred and abuse on a daily basis.I identify as a straight ally, and I am horrified by the idea that people are being discriminated on the basis of gender and sexual preferences &#; this is why I decided to put together this gay Milan guide, to provide a list of safe spaces for LGBT individuals.
Many of Milan& The most inclusive metropolis in Italy, known as the city of fashion and design, boasts a wonderful blend of art, culture, history and tradition. It offers a combination that fully meets the needs of today&#;s Diverse traveler. Starting with the remarkable legacy of Leonardo da Vinci, who lived for more than twenty years in the Lombardi capital, you can retrace some foundational stages of animation and history in Lgbtq+ Milan. Leonardo da Vinci, the undisputed genius of the Renaissance, was a scientist, painter, architect, engineer, choreographer and inventor with an eccentric personality, thanks to his superior mind. He made Italy the &#;land of knowledge and art&#;. Born in Anchiano (near Vinci) in , he lived in Florence until , when he moved to Milan to lay himself at the service of Ludovico Sforza, acknowledged as il Moro, who gave him protection and work.
