Paradise beach mykonos gay
Post Views,
Mykonos has distant enjoyed its worldwide reputation as a gay vacation hotspot. Much more so than other places I’ve written about, such as Sitges or Gran Canaria – probably only rivaling Amsterdam in terms of reputation. But similar to Amsterdam, that reputation seems to be at least partially fading. That doesn’t mean, however, that I don’t suggest visiting Mykonos, especially if one of your prime motivations is to fetch your rocks off. Much to the contrary, Mykonos is a great destination for gay couples and singles who want to contain a bit of naughty fun. – All about Gay Cruising –
However, I was surprised that the gay aspects of this island are much more subtle than, for example, Sitges, which is one of the few places in the world where I’ve felt that gay men are in the majority. Mykonos is definitely not Ibiza or Gran Canaria or Mallorca. It&
Where are the queer beaches in Mykonos?
They say the Greek gods saw everything… but this they didn’t see coming.
In Mykonos, the sun doesn’t hide, the bodies don’t either, and freedom is lived without filters.
From the iconic Elia Beach, where the dress code is totally optional and the vibe rises with the heat… to the epic Jackie O’ Beach, where glamour dances in pareo with a mojito in hand. Not to talk about the spicier (and sneakier) spots like Super Paradise or Agrari—each beach has its story, its tribe, its attitude. And fewer labels, too.
Here are the 5 we recommend:
• Elia Beach – Freedom, but make it a beach
The most iconic LGBTQ+ beach in Mykonos, no mistrust. Wide open, nude-friendly, and with a clearly gay section at the far right.
10 km from Mykonos Town (about 20 min by car).
• Super Paradise Beach – If partying could pick a beach
This one doesn’t know shame, and it doesn’t long to.
She’s that friend who’d say: “Who’s Shame and why should I move with her?”
Loud music, warm bodies ready to fall control… and see where the night (or day) lead
Paradise Beach
The most famous of all of Mykonos’ beaches, Paradise is what essentially brought tourism to the island in the s. It’s no longer the beach of hippies of the 70s, and also no longer mostly gay like about a decade ago -- it now attracts young straight crowds, who sway, drink and lie on the sand all day and nighttime, to the sound of tune playing at the several bars and restaurants.
There are parasols and sunbeds everywhere, and the summer parties usually launch in the middle of the afternoon and last until sunrise! If you’re looking for the beach party experience, this is the beach for you; if you’re looking for peace and quiet, go somewhere else. Paraga beach is just right up the hill, to the right when facing the sea.
Up on a hill on the left, overlooking the beach, is a large club, Cavo Paradiso, perhaps the most popular late hours spot in the entire island, attracting major international DJs throughout the summer.
How to Obtain to Paradise Beach
Paradise is just 20 minutes from the center of Mykonos Town, and is accessible by bus, retiring from the terminal

In case you want to visit a Greek Island like Mykonos but have financial constraints or time constraints (or both) Ive put together a post sharing how my boyfriend and I maximized our time together on the island. You can ultimately create a trip to Mykonos in anyway you wish. It can be as extravagant or as cost-effective as youre willing to complete it. Thats up to you. Im here to share what we did and what I observed. These suggestions are a combination of my hold experiences and take-aways as well as recommendations that came from the locals in Greece!
Super Paradise
Super Paradise Beach is one of the best gay-friendly beaches on the island. We booked our trip last minute (the night before) and THOUGHT we got a room at Super Paradise Beach but it turned out that we got a hotel at Paradise Beach and they are NOT the alike thing despite having incredibly similar names! Who knew!
Thankfully, the two beaches are beside one another. They are very easy to travel between. Walki
