About

The Denver Underground Self-acceptance Est.

The notion of Denver's Underground Pride came from the outpour of local queer voices saying that Denver Pride felt too corporate and love straight tourism. Local queers were shoved to the side as big call brands put on a rainbow for a month, taking money from gender non-conforming artists and corporatizing a historical social rights riot. Underground Pride is made for queers, by queers. No corporations, No sponsors, No rainbow washing, just queer art and queer love the way we look it not how mainstream media portrays it.  Underground Identity festival will always be just that, underground. It is a festival strictly for Denver local homosexual artists to state themselves and showcase up and coming local queer show. The fest will always be donation based and NOTAFLOF so the fest can be as accessible and affordable as possible. All entry fee donations to the fest go directly to paying performers, artists, and staff. Everyone is welcome to attend (yes, even straight or cis people) as all money spent at this event will go directly into the pockets of

This Pride Month, Showing Up for the LGBTQ+ Community Matters More Than Ever

The Women's Foundation of Colorado // June 12,

During Pride Month, Here’s How You Can Show Up With and For the LGBTQ+ Community

From all of us at The Women&#;s Foundation of Colorado, happy Celebration Month! As we attend the joyful community gatherings happening across the state, we remember that Pride is much more than a celebration. It is an act of resistance, resilience, and a bold declaration of the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ equality and a future where Coloradans of every background and culture thrive.

As support continues to diminish for the LGBTQ+ collective (sponsorships for Denver Pride are down 62% this year compared to last, and the Trump administration proposed eliminating funding for the LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention hotline), it&#;s important that we show up for the people now more than ever.

Here’s a list of events happening across Colorado during Pride Month. Let&#;s use joy and resilience as acts of resistance and uplift Colorado&#;s LGBTQ+ community members through celebration.
