About
The Manchester Pride Festival celebrates queer statement through a ‘party as protest.’ As one of the largest Pride celebration across the planet, Manchester Pride refuses to hold celebrations quietly, celebrating homosexual people, culture and expression in Manchester as publicly as possible.
Manchester Pride celebrations provide a territory for LGBTQ+ people to actively convey themselves, many of whom may contain experienced discrimination and suppressed or secret their Queer culture, as well as a space for allies and organisations to express their support. Pride provides an opportunity to celebrate the richness of the people as well as fight against any notions of suppression – holding real LGBTQ+ pride at its heart.
The Manchester Pride Festival is free to go to with organisations across the city hosting and participating in a range of events. Most notably, the Pride March is a key event across the weekend in which organisations march in support of their commitment to celebrating queerness and challenging discrimination, stigma and LGBTQ+ h

Manchester Pride
Manchester Event brings thousands of people to the streets of Manchester each year. Manchester Pride is part of a global Pride movement celebrating LGTBQ+ equality and challenging discrimination and the event celebrates queer people, culture and expression as loudly and publicly as possible in a refusal to hide in shame.
Taking place across the August Bank Holiday weekend, Manchester Pride hosts a variety of events, all are free to attend with the exception of Mardi Gras and the Lgbtq+ Village Party, tickets for which are on sale now.
